Welcome to Gurukul Portal

We here at Gurukul are very pleased to introduce our new online education platform, Gurukul Portal. Enclosed in this document is a brief outline of our portal and a starter kit to begin right away.

We were founded in Calgary, Canada by a team of passionate individuals that were eager to give back to the various communities they originated from. Their idea was to create a global platform that would allow for free education for any student. Their vision manifested itself into what is now Gurukul Portal. At Gurukul, we strive to deliver world-class education to everyone through a digital medium. So far, we have achieved building an expansive database of questions for multiple curricula across the world. This is inclusive of academic and professional courses, competitive exams, as well as other fun curricula that Gurukul has developed itself.

We as the Gurukul Team have developed a platform where Teachers, Students, and Parents can come together to work towards a common goal of success. The students on Gurukul Portal have unlimited access to the expansive bank of questions that Gurukul has made and can complete these assessments at home or on the go. Teachers on the other hand can also create their own questions to either add to the global database, or to simply build their private repository. In addition, teachers also have the ability to quickly generate procedural assessment papers, assign them to their student through the portal, and have them automatically marked and reported within a matter of minutes. Furthermore, parents have an active role in their child’s progress by monitoring their quizzes, assignments, and progress in school.

Within our continuously expanding public database, we audit every new question to ensure it is relevant and appropriate. Therefore, we have a separate team of Auditors that simultaneously check the questions and approve or reject them for public release.

Within Gurukul Portal, we have developed a system where individual schools can also take a Premium Subscription of the portal where they can tailor the Gurukul portal to their internal ecosystem. In this feature, schools have the option to deploy their custom portal on their internal servers or on either shared/dedicated servers managed by Gurukul. Through this deployment, schools have the capability of managing their own students, question database, curricula, personalized Gurukul website, as well as security features. An incredible feature that is available in the school subscription is the unlimited access to the Gurukul central hub. This is where all of Gurukul’s public questions are stored and where schools can access and duplicate the curricula to their personalized database. With the link to the central hub, teachers can then formulate their assessment papers with their personal questions, school available questions, as well as the Gurukul questions in the public domain. This is currently Gurukul’s only paid service and goes towards Gurukul Portals maintenance cost.
